When this is connected to camera ready Sony Radio with display, will it turn on automatically when vehicle is put in reverse or do you do it manually?
When I plugged this into the wiring already run to the licence plate area of my truck, it worked perfectly. I did not have to do a thing. When I shifted into Reverse it worked. I don’t think it makes a difference for single or double din. But a single din screen would be awfully small.

No. This is a backup camera, license plate frame and a light for the backup camera at night when the car's transmission is in reverse.
